Some of you may have heard about the Rhyme-Time Rhyme Dictionary. It’s a new kind of rhyme dictionary which uses a completely new classification system. It organises rhyme imperfectly as well as perfectly. No other kind does this yet. I’ll give you a demonstration as to how it works.
Traditional rhyme dictionaries only list words together if they rhyme perfectly. Take the word ‘dagger’ for example. In your traditional rhyme dictionary the only words listed with ‘dagger’ would be:-
bragger, gagger, hager, Jagger, magger, pager, stagger, swagger, wagar,
You can test this out at http://www.rhymezone.com/. Just type ‘dagger’ in the search field and see what you get.’
But what about words such as ‘blacker’ and ‘flatter’, what about ‘madder’ and ‘sapper’, what about ‘stammer’ and ‘batter’? The list goes on. The middle letters may be different, but they can all still be rhymed with the word ‘dagger’ when writing rap lyrics yet they aren’t included.
Now lets now have a look at what words you’ll find listed in the Rhyme-Time Rhyme Dictionary that rhyme with the word ‘dagger’:-
Abba, blabber, crabber, dabber, jabber, Jabba, slabber, backer, cracker, Dakar, Lacquer, knacker, packer, slacker, smacker, stacker, tracker, adder, bladder, ladder, madder, chaffer, gaffer, Jaffa, Staffer, gather, blather, bragger, dagger, gagger, Jagger, nagger, stagger, swagger, badger, cadger, gamma, grammar, hammer, clamber, glamour, mamma, shammer, stammer, Anna, banner, canner, Hannah, manner, manor, nana, Planner, spanner, scanner, tanner, kappa, clapper, dapper, flapper, grappa, nappa, wrapper, rapper, sapper, snapper, strapper, trapper, gasser, NASA, passer, Asher, dasher, flasher, masher, rasher, splasher, smasher, thrasher, attar, batter, chatter, hatter, latter, clatter, flatter, matter, natter, platter, scatter, splatter, spatter, ratter, tatter, catcher, stature, Thatcher, scratcher, lazar, Gaza, plaza, dabbler, gabbler, actor, factor, tractor, after, laughter, grafter, rafter, wafter, haggler, straggler, magma, alpha, amber, camber, clamber, mamba, samba, camper, clamper, hamper, pamper, tamper, Tampa, anchor, banker, canker, hanker, flanker, spanker, ranker, tanker, dander, panda, pander, rambler, scrambler, banger, hangar, hanger, clanger, anger, Bangor, clangour, answer, dancer, lancer, banter, canter, manta, Santa, planter, panzer, stanza, panther, captor, chapter, raptor, plasma, jasper, aster, Pasta, raster, battler, rattler, prattler, tattler, quatre, Mantra,
That’s nearly one hundred and fifty words! About ten times as many as your normal rhyme dictionary would get you
Any skilful emcee knows the importance of rhyming longer syllable words together so with that in my mind let’s have a look words three syllables in length. Again go to http://www.rhymezone.com/ but this time type ‘melody’, ‘therapy’ or ‘energy’ into the search field. These are the words you get:-
melody- none
therapy- none (apart from some really long words which basically have therapy stuck on the end!)
energy- cenergy
Hmmm pretty useless really for our purposes isn’t it! Now lets see what words are listed in the Rhyme-Time Rhyme Dictionary that rhyme with these words:-
remedy, Kennedy, melody, jeopardy, enemy, sesame, destiny, ebony, Bethany, felony, lemony, therapy, entropy, enury, lechery, treachery, century, beggary, Gregory, celery, memory, peppery, treasury, feathery, heathery, every, estuary, hennery, venery, sensory, embassy, legacy, jealousy, heresy, leprosy, ecstasy, enmity, equity, velvety, terribly, heavenly, clemency, tenancy, pregnancy, weaponry, elderly, specially, leisurely, westerly, Weatherly, Beverly, registry, chemistry, dentistry, presently, pedantry, tennantry, errantry, pleasantry,
So while your average rhyme dictionary gets you one word if you’re lucky, The Rhyme-Time Rhyme Dictionary gets you sixty words. That’s sixty times as many words. Coming up with multis is now a breeze!
The thing about rap lyrics is that they’re spoken faster than normal poetry. The rhymes therefore don’t need to be perfect in order for them rhyme. Traditional rhyme dictionaries list words together only if they do rhyme perfectly, but our system doesn’t work like that. Our system is designed with rappers and emcees in mind, people like you.
It also allows you to come up with huge amounts of multis within minutes….
Take the compound rhyming phrase ‘bread baking’. All you do is put each words relevant section side by side then you just start picking out combinations that work. I got these within five minutes:
bread baking, head shaking, neck bracing, check mating, men raping, dress making, lead gating, red taping, dread dating, press slating, leg breaking, feds chasing, bet taking, jet blazing, hen grazing, Ben’s savings, best placing, gem facing, flesh flaking,
Here’s another example of what the Rhyme-Time Rhyme Dictionary can do- I repeated the process, but used the rhyming phrase ‘quick memory’ instead. The results are as followed:
swiss remedy, hip therapy, this century, his destiny, kids weaponry, Ric’s enemy, sick melody, spit seventy, give pleasantly, big felony, mix ecstasy, tinned celery, quick memory, in jeopardy, sprint leisurely,
This again took little over five minutes. Just think how useful this Rhyme Dictionary will be next time you get writing some rap lyrics!

Have you ever thought about adding a little bit more than just your articles? I mean, what you say is fundamental and all. However just imagine if you added some great visuals or video clips to give your posts more, “pop”! Your content is excellent but with images and videos, this website could undeniably be one of the most beneficial in its field. Very good blog!
